The actress, who was once the cover model for Vogue magazine, lives today in Beverly Hills along with Samantha and Olivia. They were married for only eight years, but divorced for twenty years. Ann Turkel is still struggling in a state of denial over the death of her former husband, Richard Harris. Born into a Jewish middle-class family and raised within Manhattan, Turkel had, by age 16, studied in the company of Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse and Philip Burton at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Ann formed a band together with her high school classmates and soon began to sing. It was in Stockbridge, Massachusetts she also did a summer season at Berkshire Playhouse performing plays like The Pajama Game and West Side Story. When she was performing with her group at the fashion show when Ann was discovered through Gloria Schiff an editor at Vogue Magazine. Diana Vreeland, the editor in chief of Vogue Magazine, had Ann take her picture for her debut Vogue magazine cover within short period of time. Subsequently Ann became one of the most sought after models in the United States, appearing on the covers of the top fashion magazines such as Vogue Bazaar and Cosmopolitan among numerous others. Ann was a successful model for various cosmetic companies such as Max Factor Revlon, Chanel and Europe in Europe following two years.
